Glowing Face

I recognize paper as skin. It feels like a piece of paper that is torn apart, sticks again, blooms and spreads. The landscape I draw is likely to be the closest explanation if I say that it is part of the body or expresses the wrinkles of facial expression. As like rubbing a face, I carefully paint my feelings with a brush. 

나는 종이를 피부와 같다고 인식한다. 잘 찢어지고 다시 붙고 피나고 번지고 하는 특징이 종이와 같은 물성으로 느껴진다. 내가 그리는 산수풍경은 신체의 일부이거나 표정의 주름을 표현한 것이라 말하면 가장 근접한 설명이 될 것 같다. 얼굴을 만지듯 조심스럽고 세심하게 마른 붓과 묵힌 먹, 그리고 분채와 석채로 감정(마음)을 담아 종이에 남긴다.
